Job Title : Line Cook

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing ingredients and assembling dishes according to our recipes and specifications. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests receive high-quality, beautifully presented food in a timely manner. To succeed in this role, you should be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Station Setup & Breakdown: Prepare and stock your designated cooking station with all necessary supplies, ingredients, and prep items before service; clean and sanitize the station at the end of the shift.

• Food Preparation: Prep ingredients by washing, chopping, portioning, and seasoning meats, vegetables, and other food items.

• Cooking & Assembling: Cook menu items according to established recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications using various kitchen equipment (grills, ovens, fryers, sautés).

• Ticket Management: Coordinate with the expo and front-of-house team to ensure orders are completed accurately and efficiently.

• Quality Control: Ensure all food leaving the kitchen meets quality, taste, temperature, and visual standards.

• Safety & Sanitation: Comply with all health department regulations, food safety protocols, and kitchen cleanliness guidelines (FIFO method, correct temperature storage, etc.).

• Teamwork: Assist fellow kitchen staff and maintain a positive, cooperative working environment.

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 1+ years of experience working as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or in a similar fast-paced kitchen role.

• Technical Skills: Proficient knife skills and comfortable operating standard commercial kitchen equipment.

• Pace & Stamina: Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure during peak rush hours, with the physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

• Communication: Strong listening and verbal communication skills to effectively coordinate with the team.

• Flexibility: Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Certifications: Food Handler’s card or ServSafe certification is a strong plus.
