Large utility is looking for a Field Leader in Kalamazoo, MI. The Field Leader Electric Contractors Supervisor is a developmental position with a minimum requirement of a High School Diploma/GED, seeking candidates with basic knowledge of electric operations, project management, and problem-solving skills to assist in the safe and cost-effective oversight of electrical construction, maintenance, and emergency restoration. responsibilities:

• The Electric Contractors Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, regulatory compliance and oversight of electrical work to assure completion of field construction, maintenance, service and emergency restoration in a safe and cost-effective manner.

Direct responsibility for contractual oversight, including reconciliation of pay items.

Involves management and inspection of contract work to include interfaces with other utilities or agencies, assisting in developing switching and tagging orders related to work performed by non-company crews and field verification of work completion to contract specifications.

Skills:

• Basic knowledge of electrical operations, work methods, and related technology.

Skills in analysis, planning, design, project scope, cost scheduling, and coordination.

Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and apply lean methodologies for problem-solving.

Skilled in facilitation, communication, negotiation with customers and agencies, and relating to union employees and leadership.

Knowledge of contract management practices and a basic understanding of unplanned service restoration.

Education and Experience:

• A High School Diploma or GED is required,

With an AA or

Bachelor's Degree in a construction or technical field preferred.
