Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to oversee our culinary operations and uphold our commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. The Executive Chef will be responsible for managing the kitchen team, planning menus, and ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation. This role requires creativity, leadership skills, organization and a deep understanding of culinary trends and techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
Menu Planning and Development:
- Develop innovative and high-quality menus that align with our restaurant’s concept and appeal to our clientele.
- Stay updated with culinary trends and incorporate new ideas into menu offerings.
- Ensure menu variety and seasonal appropriateness.
Kitchen Management:
- Supervise and coordinate all culinary activities.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen environment by adhering to health and safety standards.
Staff Management and Training:
- Recruit, train, and supervise kitchen staff.
- Set clear expectations and provide ongoing feedback to maintain high performance and morale.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
Quality Control:
- Monitor food quality and consistency through regular tasting and inspection.
- Implement standardized recipes and portion sizes to maintain profitability.
- Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation regulations.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Manage food and labor costs within budgetary guidelines.
- Control inventory levels and conduct regular inventory audits.
- Identify opportunities to optimize kitchen operations and reduce expenses.
Guest Satisfaction:
1.Interact with guests to receive feedback and resolve any issues promptly.
2. Strive to exceed guest expectations by consistently delivering excellent culinary experiences.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant.
- Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen management, and food safety standards.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Creativity and a passion for culinary arts.
- Ability to manage a diverse team and foster a positive work environment
Working Conditions:
- This role requires standing, walking, and working in a kitchen environment for extended periods.
- Evening, weekend, and holiday availability may be required to meet business needs.
