Accountant

Description Our company is seeking an experienced Accountant for a contract-to-permanent opportunity in Canton, Ohio. This role offers the chance to contribute to a dynamic, growth-oriented, and highly collaborative work environment. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in financial operations and demonstrate strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Key Responsibilities: + Accurately process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. + Prepare, enter, and review general ledger entries in compliance with accounting standards. + Complete routine bank and credit card reconciliations, ensuring accurate financial records. + Perform journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations. + Leverage QuickBooks Online for automated uploads and ongoing financial management. + Collaborate with merchant banking operations to optimize financial processes. + Monitor and manage cash flow to maintain organizational financial health. + Generate and analyze financial reports using Microsoft Excel for key decision-making. + Maintain compliance with established accounting policies and procedures, consistently meeting deadlines. Requirements - Hands-on experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes. - Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel. - Strong knowledge of journal entries, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet accounts. - Ability to analyze and interpret financial data effectively. - Prior experience in merchant banking is a plus. - Exceptional organizational and time management skills. - High attention to detail and accuracy in working with financial records. - Willingness to work onsite Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM.
