Senior HR Manager
I-1. General Description
The Human Resources Manager is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the Human Resources function for company.
This role also plays a key part in 1) integration and localization of HR processes and strategies across MI, AL, and TN facilities, ensuring alignment, consistency, and compliance across all locations, and 2) collaboration with HQ HR to build GHR foundation.
II-2. Key Roles and Responsibilities
1. Provides executive-level leadership to the Human Resources (HR) department across all U.S. facilities.
2. Ensures the HR function operates in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and internal policies.
3. Develops and manages the annual HR departmental budget for assigned facilities.
4. Leads strategic HR planning initiatives that align with the company’s mission and growth objectives.
o Regularly reviews organizational policies, procedures, and practices across MI, AL, and TN for consistency and continuous improvement.
o Develops and monitors HR metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure success and guide data-driven decisions.
5. Develops and implements HR programs in accordance with the organization’s mission, vision, and values. This includes ongoing talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
6. Develops and manages the compensation program.
o Conducts annual compensation benchmarking and salary
surveys to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
o Ensures ongoing wage and hour compliance across all locations.
7. Oversee full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for all facilities, ensuring a unified process and positive new hire experience.
8. Develops and implements a standardized performance management system for use across all locations.
9. Administers employee benefits programs, including health and dental plans, retirement savings plans, and workers’ compensation.
10. Serves as a key resource for employee relations, performance management, disciplinary actions, and coaching of management teams.
11. Partners with legal counsel as necessary to ensure compliance and mitigate organizational risk.
12. Maintains knowledge of current HR trends, best practices, and legislation to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
13. Supervises and develops HR staff across multiple facilities, fostering a collaborative, high-performing HR team.
14. Champions strategies to improve retention, reduce turnover, and strengthen employee morale across all sites.
15. Promotes a positive, transparent, and inclusive work environment where employees feel heard and valued.
16. Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including external agencies, vendors, and community partners.
II-3. Job Requirements
II-3-1. Work Experience
1. At least 10 years of Human Resources experience
2. At least minimum of 5 years in an HR management role
3. At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
4. Multi-site HR management experience preferred
II-3-2. Education
1. Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field
2. SHRM-SCP/CP, PHR certification preferred
II-3-3. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact across multiple sites and levels of the organization
3. Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
4. Ability to interpret data, write reports, and deliver presentations effectively
5. Strong organizational and time-management skills with a focus on efficiency
6. In-depth knowledge of employment law, benefits administration, workers’ compensation, and organizational development
7. Demonstrated leadership ability and the capacity to influence positive changes across locations
