We are currently seeking a Locum MD (Medical Doctor) specializing in Psychiatry . As a Locum MD Psychiatry, you will play a crucial role in providing temporary medical services to our clients. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the well-being of patients and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare staffing projects. Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients.
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical guidelines.
• Prescribe medication and monitor its effectiveness.
• Provide crisis intervention and support to patients in acute distress.
• Collaborate with therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes accurately.
• Participate in case conferences and team meetings to review patient cases.
• Stay updated on the latest developments and best practices in the field of psychiatry.

Requirements:

• Medical degree with specialization in Psychiatry.
• Valid license to practice as a Medical Doctor.
• Proven experience working in psychiatric settings.
• Strong knowledge of psychiatric medications and treatment modalities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Empathy and compassion towards patients with mental health challenges.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p

Call Requirement: 5p-8a

Setting: 27-bed inpatient

Patient Volume: 12 per day

Cases: Anxiety, ADD/ADHD, affective disorders, personality disorders, eating disorders, developmental disorders, psychotic disorders, and organic disorders

Support Staff: 5 MDs, 6 APPs

Will supervise PMHNP

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
