Instructional Aide Subs School-Based | Sterling Heights, MI | Per Diem

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized or small-group support under teacher guidance
• Assist students with daily routines, transitions, and engagement in classroom activities
• Implement behavior support plans and adhere to IEPs as applicable
• Support mobility, supervision, and personal care needs
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning atmosphere

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum age of 18
• Ability to comply with tuberculosis (TB) testing and school clearance requirements
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as necessary
• Willingness to obtain any required current clearances prior to starting

Preferred Experience:

• Background in school settings, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Certification or familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT preferred but not mandatory
• Reliable, patient, and collaborative work approach
