Manufacturing Supervisor

Location: Livonia, MI

Shift: 1st Shift

Pay: $30.00/hr

Job Summary

Workbox Staffing is hiring a Manufacturing Supervisor in Livonia, MI. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing leader to oversee daily production activities, support employees, and ensure production goals are met safely and efficiently. In this role, you will help coordinate workflows, mentor team members, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Manufacturing Supervisor, your core responsibilities will include:

• Production Oversight: Supervise daily production activities, prioritize workflow, and ensure schedules are met
• Team Leadership: Provide direction, coaching, and support to production staff while maintaining strong employee relations
• Quality & Safety: Ensure products meet customer specifications and maintain compliance with safety procedures and manufacturing standards
• Process Improvement: Support continuous improvement initiatives, lean manufacturing practices, and productivity goals
• Reporting & Coordination: Monitor production performance, complete reports, and collaborate with departments such as maintenance and quality to keep operations running smoothly

In addition, you will assist with employee training, monitor department productivity, support manufacturing projects, and help maintain an organized and efficient work environment.

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience , including at least 1 year of supervisory experience
• Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Experience with IATF 16949 , Lean Manufacturing, and safety procedures preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems (Plex experience is a plus)

Skills & Physical Requirements:

• Strong leadership, coaching, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing and production issues
• Comfortable standing/walking for extended periods and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work independently and manage shifting priorities in a loud manufacturing environment
