Ohio Nursing Job Details

• Position: Travel Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry (RN)
• Location: Columbus, Ohio (43203) – Ohio nursing jobs
• Unit: Tower 9 Surgical Musculoskeletal (27 beds)
• Shift: Night Shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 9/22/2025 – End: 12/22/2025)
• Setting: Med/Surg level of care focused on musculoskeletal infections and orthopedic trauma
• Estimated Patient Ratios: 1:4-5
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1940-$1990

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (current and active)
• Proficient in IV starts, telemetry, and intermediate care nursing skills
• EPIC charting experience required
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Ability to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Two professional references (one from a manager/director or formal leadership; charge RN acceptable for second reference)

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients with musculoskeletal infections, orthopedic trauma, and wound care needs
• Perform IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and intermediate care procedures
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
• Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, physical therapy, respiratory, pharmacy, and social services
• Participate in wound care procedures such as Veriflo and wound vac treatments
• Maintain patient safety and adhere to hospital protocols
• Work weekdays and some weekends as scheduled
