Leave It To Meeka is a premier event planning company specializing in creating unforgettable weddings and events. We seek a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Day-Of Event Assistant.

Job Summary:

Do you enjoy decorating? Are you hard-working and looking for an exciting and fun opportunity? Leave it to Meeka is in search of an Day-of Event Assistant to help with events including loading and unloading and setup and breakdown tasks. This part-time, independent contractor position could become permanent for the right candidate. The position will mainly include setup/decorating and breakdown/clean-up at events. Some light crafting, errand-running and light administrative work may also be needed. You must be willing to work a flexible schedule during the week and weekends with hours that will change weekly depending on scheduled events. and have reliable transportation to travel to the various locations of events throughout Michigan. As a Day-of Event Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with the logistical and operational aspects of events on the day of execution.

Responsibilities:

Pre-Event Preparation:

· Review event plans, timelines, and layouts to familiarize yourself with details prior to the event.

· Assist with loading and unloading, setting up event spaces, including decorations, signage, and equipment, according to the client's and our specifications.

· Participate in pre-event meetings with management to ensure expectations are met.

Post-Event Duties:

· Assist with event breakdown and cleanup, ensuring that the venue is left in excellent condition post-event and event supplies and decorations are loaded and packed up efficiently and neatly.

Qualifications:

· High School diploma and some college completed.

· Must have reliable transportation.

· A flexible schedule during the week and weekends is a must.

· Strong organizational skills.

· Positive, energetic and upbeat personality is a must.

· Excellent communication skills, with a customer-focused approach.

· Attention to detail and creativity are integral.

· Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing situations during events.

· Able to lift 30 to 50 lbs.

· Able to stand and walk for long periods.
