The Landscape Operations Manager is critically important to our growth and success. As Landscape Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the overall production planning, efficiency and quality of field operations. In addition, you will have a significant role in the readiness, care, appearance and safe operation of all assets within the division.

Responsibilities:

  • Enthusiastically support, adhere to, and promote our Vision, Mission, and Core Values
  • Support, adhere to, and enforce company policies
  • Responsible to develop, instruct, and follow through on efficient production plans for the field operations teams in the division
  • Lead effective snow operation plans that maximize staffing and assets while simultaneously avoiding unnecessary expenses
  • Through thoughtful analysis to ensure division operations are right sizing and staffing accordingly based on job size and hours to complete assigned jobs
  • Review assigned crews work quality in the field and correct as necessary to ensure client satisfaction
  • In conjunction with the Branch Manager, you will assist with setting both short & long-range strategic plans, which coincide with the company's overall strategic plan
  • Daily review and approve branch personnel timesheets
  • Assist with recruiting, hiring and on-boarding new employees with assistance from HR team
  • Develop and conduct training programs for field staff to improve operational efficiency, compliance, and safety
  • Working with the in-house mechanic, and outsourcing partners, you will be responsible for the overall care, condition and maintenance of all assets assigned to the division
  • Operate company tools, equipment and/or vehicles
  • Expected to become an advanced level user of all company software systems, specifically Aspire, Concur, Paylocity and others
  • Ensure work is being conducted in a safe manner, while maintaining safe working conditions for our employees, the customer, general public and the environment
  • Establishing and promoting positive relationships with local vendors, service partners, local & state agencies, and the general public locally
  • Accurate submission of all required documentation in a timely manner
  • Manage all incidents and injuries within municipal division
  • Participates in branch and corporate-level meetings as required
  • Stay well-informed of changes and advances in the world of commercial landscape maintenance and snow management
Requirements:

  • Aligns well with Brilar’s core values, vision, and mission
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen
  • Consent to random, reasonable suspicion, and post incident drug testing
  • Have a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Have or willing to obtain DOT Physical Card
  • Must be insurable by Brilar's insurance carrier
  • Minimum of high school diploma
  • Minimum of 3 years of management-level knowledge and experience within the commercial lawn maintenance and snow removal industry
  • Proven extensive knowledge of operations, production management and fleet management
  • Must be able to lead and motivate a team
  • Must have excellent knowledge of business and financial principles
  • Must have “Big picture” thinking
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Be self-motivated, well organized, and strong time management skills
  • Have a positive and friendly attitude
  • Must have professional phone, meeting, event etiquette
  • Must be able to work as a team and take direction from multiple sources
  • Must be a self-starter, able to productively work for extended periods of time with minimal direct supervision
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions
  • Required to be on call 24/7 during the winter season including weekends and holidays
  • Must be time flexible, without schedule restrictions
  • Must be physically able to operate power equipment
  • Able to lift 50+ lbs., bend, walk repeatedly for a continuous period
  • Must have proficient knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Office Suite, Aspire, Vehicle GPS tracking.
  • Must sign confidentiality, non-disclosure, non-solicit agreement
