Inventory Control Manager | Grand Haven, MI

Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control procedures and policies to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Oversee all inventory transactions, including receiving, storage, transfers, and shipments, ensuring proper documentation.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventories, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast demands, and recommend adjustments to optimize stock levels and minimize waste.
• Manage and maintain the integrity of the inventory management system (e.g., ERP/WMS), ensuring data accuracy.
• Collaborate with production, purchasing, and logistics teams to synchronize inventory flow with manufacturing schedules and supply chain activities.
• Lead, train, and develop inventory control staff to enhance their performance and adherence to procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in inventory control or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) for inventory management and data analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in inventory forecasting, optimization, and reporting.
• In-depth knowledge of inventory control principles, warehouse operations, and lean manufacturing methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage inventory accuracy, reduce carrying costs, and improve material flow.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Experience with advanced data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
• Familiarity with automated inventory systems or warehouse management robotics.
