The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage financial budgets and forecasts, specifically for production volumes, material costs, and manufacturing overhead.
• Conduct detailed variance analysis of actual manufacturing costs against standard costs, budgets, and forecasts, identifying key drivers.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, including direct materials, direct labor, and overhead, to determine product profitability and identify cost reduction opportunities.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including COGS analysis, inventory reports, and production cost summaries for management.
• Evaluate capital expenditure requests for manufacturing equipment and projects, performing ROI and payback period analyses.
• Provide financial insights and analytical support to production, supply chain, and operations teams for decision-making.
• Support the accurate valuation and analysis of inventory, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in cost accounting principles and manufacturing variance analysis.
• Strong financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting skills.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for financial and operational data.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights related to production efficiency and profitability.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with manufacturing ERP systems (e.g., SAP PP/CO, Oracle Manufacturing)
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for operational insights
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies
