Sales Manager - Automotive / Off Highway
This sales-focused role centers on building strong, trust-based relationships with purchasing teams, technical personnel, and strategic contacts across key industries. The primary objective is to uncover new business opportunities, support project launches, and provide ongoing customer engagement from first contact through post-production support.
Key Skill Requirements
Strong command of English, both written and verbal
Comfortable using business software tools such as ERP systems, project management platforms, and MS Office
Capable of interpreting technical documents, industry publications, regulatory material, and professional journals
Adept at preparing technical presentations, customer reports, and business correspondence
Skilled in delivering information to diverse audiences—executives, clients, internal teams, or public groups
Additional Expectations
Reliable personal vehicle with an active driver’s license
Ability to be onsite five days per week
Capable of completing any required medical or occupational health evaluations

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering
Minimum of 5 years in manufacturing-related sales or purchasing (automotive preferred)
Minimum of 5 years of experience within a corporate transactional environment
Experience selling to OEMs in Heavy Duty, Off-Highway, and Agriculture sectors
Experience selling to Automotive OEMs (required)
Preferred background selling into:
German OEMs (e.g., BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen)
U.S. and Asian OEMs (Ford, Honda, Toyota, Tesla)
Tier-1 automotive suppliers
Familiarity with metal casting, machining, and assembly processes is a plus
Primary Responsibilities
Promote company solutions to existing customers while identifying new strategic accounts
Support technical reviews, customer meetings, and professional presentations
Ensure alignment between customer expectations and internal operations to drive successful project outcomes
Cultivate relationships across multiple organizational levels, including executive-level decision makers
Maintain comprehensive records of customer interactions, sales activities, and program developments
Analyze and report market trends, competitive intelligence, and customer forecasts
Identify new market segments and guide long-term growth strategies
Participate in APQP and program management activities for assigned initiatives
Manage customer data entry across internal systems and client platforms
Submit quotations and coordinate follow-up on all customer commercial activities
Travel within the assigned territory to meet prospective and current customers
Collaborate on cost-reduction opportunities and cross-functional initiatives
Prepare sales reports, maintain expense documentation, and contribute to leadership updates
Support internal teams in understanding training requirements or customer-specific needs
Engage in trade shows, B2B events, and other channels to build a robust pipeline of leads
Perform additional tasks as assigned
