CNC Lathe Machinist Senior

The Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Lathe Machinist Senior will lead the process of creating low volume and one-of-a-kind parts from a variety of materials. The role will work with customers following projects through multiple phases from receipt of concept to delivery of finished product. The role will utilize 3D CAD modeling in SolidWorks or Mastercam to support complex customer requests. The role will train and mentor CNC Lathe Operators.
As a CNC Lathe Machinist Senior you will:
- Set up, edit, program and run CNC lathes
- Interpret drawings, GD&T, and conduct in-process inspections
- Receive and interpret direction in multiple formats: verbal, sketches, prints, Computer AidedDesign (CAD) files, solid models
- Lead setup of multi-phase CNC lathe machining process including troubleshooting, design changes, and issue resolution
- Maintain machinery, tools, and equipment in a clean and organized state
- Ability to identify optimal tooling for application
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 8 years of experience with CNC lathe machine operation and programming
- U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident allowing for International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)compliance
- Proficient ability to read blueprints and interpret drawings of three-dimensional parts and edit G&M code using machine controller.•Ability to use MS Office products and manage files and good communication skills
- Has own tools with rolling toolbox
- Basic knowledge of manual grinding (internal (ID)/outer diameter (OD), surface grinding, rotary), honing, lapping, mill, lathe
- Ability to work with exotic materials
- Ability to work overtime as needed including weekends
