Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Mechanic to handle daily maintenance checks, preventative services, and onsite repairs to ensure our trucks are ready for the road each morning. This role requires a highly motivated individual who can work independently, respond quickly to maintenance needs, and keep accurate records through our digital tracking system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily maintenance checks on all trucks before drivers depart the facility.

• Complete quick onsite repairs to minimize downtime.

• Conduct tire changes and other emergency maintenance as needed.

• Order and pick up parts using a company-issued credit card.

• Perform annual DOT inspections and complete required documentation.

• Accurately log all work performed in the Samsara app for tracking and compliance.

• Ensure compliance with all safety and DOT regulations.

Qualifications:

• Must provide own tools and have a trailer for onsite maintenance.

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with heavy diesel engines and trailers .

• Certified DOT Inspector with the ability to perform and document annual inspections.

• Ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of truck and trailer issues.

• Comfortable with using technology (computer/iPad apps) to enter and track repair data.

• Dependable, punctual, and able to start at 5:00 a.m. daily.

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

• Qualified to drive a CDL preferred

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Previous fleet maintenance or transportation industry experience.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.

• Good communication skills to work with drivers, dispatch, and management.
