Salary Range: $51,000 - $81,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) equipment according to specifications.
• Load and adjust NC programs for EDM operations, ensuring accurate tool paths and parameters.
• Monitor EDM process parameters, making real-time adjustments to optimize performance and part quality.
• Perform in-process and final inspections of machined components using precision measuring instruments.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance on EDM machines, including cleaning and fluid level checks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor operational issues or machine malfunctions.
• Maintain accurate production logs and quality control documentation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience operating and setting up Wire EDM and/or Sinker EDM machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications.
• Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges for quality inspection.
• Ability to perform basic machine maintenance, troubleshoot common operational issues, and make necessary adjustments.
• Understanding of material properties and their impact on EDM processes.
• Strong commitment to safety protocols and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software for program interpretation or minor modifications.
• Demonstrated ability to perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in operating other precision machining equipment, such as CNC mills or grinders.
• Familiarity with advanced metrology tools like CMMs or optical comparators.
