Construction Project Manager
Seeking: Construction Project Manager – Low Voltage (Federal Projects)
Location: Monroe, MI

About the Role
We are a growing low-voltage systems contractor seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee federal construction projects. This role is responsible for managing low-voltage scopes, including structured cabling, security systems, access control, CCTV, and related technologies on government facilities.
The ideal candidate has experience working on federal or government-funded projects and understands the documentation, coordination, and compliance requirements unique to this environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage low-voltage construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
- Coordinate with general contractors, federal agencies, inspectors, and other trades
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and labor plans
- Oversee subcontractors and in-house technicians
- Ensure compliance with federal requirements (submittals, RFIs, change orders, as-builts, closeout packages)
- Review drawings, specifications, and statements of work (SOW)
- Conduct site visits to ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherence
- Track materials, lead times, and procurement
- Participate in project meetings and provide regular status updates
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and security protocols
Qualifications
- 3+ years of project management experience in low-voltage or technology systems construction
- Experience working on federal, military, or government projects strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of low-voltage systems (data, voice, security, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Proficiency with project management software (Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, or similar)
- Familiarity with federal documentation processes and closeout requirements
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred (but Not Required)
- Existing federal clearance (or ability to obtain one)
- OSHA 30
- Experience with EM 385, FAR/DFARS environments, or USACE projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
