Server

Pangea's Pizza is currently looking for full and part time servers and bartenders for the summer season. We're located in the heart of downtown Traverse City with an amazing rooftop that over looks the bay. We're looking for individuals who are available to work at least three or four days a week, with the opportunity for additional hours at our sister location, Incredible Mo's, as well. Our servers have the opportunity to make a ton of money, and our best servers often leave with several hundred dollars in tips on a typical shift.

Expectations:

1. Maintaining a positive attitude at all times. Smile, laugh and be happy!
2. Taking food and drink orders, and being highly knowledgeable about the products and dishes being served
3. Managing time effectively in order to provide the best customer service possible
4. Working with hosts to seat customers and maintain speed of service
5. Taking phone and in person takeout orders
6. Taking payment from customers and accurately handling cash and credit card transactions
7. Picking up takeout orders from the service window and delivering them to customers
8. Stocking server stations before, middle and at the end of every shift, and setting the next shift up for success
9. Communicating with the Sous Chef and kitchen team, and 86’ing items as needed
10. Taking out the trash, sweeping and mopping floors, bussing tables, cleaning bathrooms, and other cleaning tasks as needed
11. Ensuring all opening and closing duties are completed accurately and efficiently, and following all opening and closing checklists daily

Qualifications:

1. Must be at least seventeen years of age (required)
2. Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively (required)
3. Must have the ability to work on your feet for an extended period (required)
4. Must have the ability to stand, sit, bend, kneel, and stoop (required)
5. Must have the ability to lift weights of up to 50lbs (required)
6. Must have the ability to complete assigned tasks within a specified time frame (required)
7. Must be able to do basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and counting (required)
8. Previous experience as a server or bartender (preferred but not required)
