Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg (Neuro/Ortho/Peds) night shift position at a Level II Trauma hospital in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, requiring 2+ years of adult med/surg experience and an active MI RN license.

Details

• 7th floor Neuro/Ortho/Pediatrics unit in a 225-bed specialty care hospital
• Level II Trauma Center
• Patient population includes all ages over 28 days, with a combined neuro, ortho, and general pediatric caseload (typically 0-3 pediatric rooms on average)
• 24-bed unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
• Night shift hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 3 weekends every 6 weeks required
• Floating required to other inpatient units
• No on-call requirements
• EMR: Paragon (transitioning to Cerner)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Michigan RN license required
• ADN or higher required
• Minimum 2 years of adult med/surg experience required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• PALS certification preferred
• 2+ years of pediatric experience preferred
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• AHA-issued certifications required

Additional Information

• Common diagnoses and treatments include trauma, post-operative ortho and neuro care, and general pediatric conditions
• Scrub color: Galaxy Blue
• Candidates must reside 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
