Director of Business Systems
- Develop, communicate, and execute a comprehensive strategy and multi-year roadmap for enterprise business systems and analytics.
- Serve as the primary strategic partner and liaison between business units, senior leadership, and IT teams to ensure alignment of technology capabilities with enterprise goals.
- Lead and facilitate cross-functional steering committees and working groups to identify, prioritize, and implement systems and data initiatives.
- Influence organizational direction by providing strategic insights and recommendations supported by data trends and system capabilities.
- Oversee the architecture, governance, optimization, and ongoing integration of NetSuite ERP and Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with external vendors and partners to ensure delivery of high-quality enhancements and timely project execution.
- Ensure system design and configuration practices reflect business requirements, regulatory standards, and scalable best practices.
- Lead the development and communication of actionable Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models tailored to business stakeholder needs.
- Establish and champion data governance frameworks that ensure reliability, consistency, and secure access across the organization.
- Partner with business leaders to deliver KPIs, industry trends, and customer insights that enable informed decision-making and strategic planning.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze existing workflows, diagnose inefficiencies, and define opportunities for cross-departmental process improvements.
- Lead organizational change initiatives through strong communication, facilitation of stakeholder engagement, and alignment on business outcomes.
- Develop business cases that evaluate system alternatives, tool selection, and resource needs.
- Direct complex, enterprise-wide business systems and analytics projects from strategy through implementation.
- Communicate project progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders and executives with clarity and transparency.
- Allocate resources, guide team members and partners, and ensure commitments are met with a focus on collaboration and quality.
- Oversee the creation and delivery of user training programs, documentation, and communication plans to ensure successful system adoption.
- Provide leadership in troubleshooting and resolving business system and analytics challenges, ensuring users have clear pathways to support.
- Strategic thinking with an ability to develop and articulate an enterprise-wide vision.
- Strong collaboration skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing without authority.
- Expertise in business systems integration (e.g., NetSuite, Dynamics, Adaptive Insights).
- Advanced proficiency in business intelligence tools, data modeling, and interpreting complex data for non-technical audiences.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate technology concepts into business terms and present to leadership.
- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities in a dynamic, change-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project methodologies.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Oversight of company-wide CRM and ERP strategy and performance.
- Management of external support service vendors and partners.
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, Statistics, or a related field preferred.
- 7–10 years of experience in business systems management, analytics, or related fields is required.
- Proven experience leading enterprise-wide ERP and BI initiatives is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Visio, SQL, and project management (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Asana) and AI tools.
- Must be able to sit for much of the workday with periodic walking and/or standing.
- Must be able to work in an office environment.
- This role requires some travel.
- Base Salary Range: $140,000 - $180,000 per year
- Bonus/Commission Eligibility: Yes, bonus eligible for non-sales roles.
