Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Thursday 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, Friday 8:30 AM–4:30 PM

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our front desk team. This full-time role supports a busy orthotics office by assisting walk-in customers, answering phones, processing orders, and handling insurance verifications. You’ll work alongside two other team members in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

• Greet and assist walk-in customers placing orthotic product orders.
• Answer incoming calls and respond to faxes from patients, physicians, and referral sources.
• Accurately record and update patient information in the system.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations.
• Process orders and billing in the computer system.
• Secure prescriptions for home medical equipment services.
• Maintain strong relationships with referral sources and ensure excellent customer service.
• Handle claims questions and support patients with billing inquiries.
• Perform general administrative duties and manage paperwork efficiently.

• Required:
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience (phone and/or in-person).
  • Strong computer and data entry skills.
  • Excellent communication and multitasking abilities.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage paperwork-heavy tasks.
• Preferred:
  • Experience with insurance verification and billing.
  • Previous work in a medical office or healthcare setting.
  • College degree or relevant training/certification.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Flint, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.50/hr.
