The Part Time Barista plays a key role in creating memorable customer experiences by preparing beverages and food items to Starbucks' exacting standards. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and specialty beverages according to Starbucks recipes and quality standards
• Greet customers warmly and engage in friendly, attentive conversation to build positive relationships
• Accurately process customer orders and payments using the point-of-sale system
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area in compliance with health and safety regulations
• Restock supplies, including coffee beans, milk, syrups, and pastry items, throughout each shift
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations during peak and off-peak hours
• Educate customers on menu items, promotions, and seasonal offerings
• Follow all cash handling procedures and maintain accurate transaction records

Required Qualifications

• Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and processing orders
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer service or food and beverage role
• Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and equipment
• Experience using point-of-sale (POS) systems

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in operating espresso machines, grinders, and other beverage preparation equipment
• Basic computer literacy for order entry and inventory tracking
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and preparation procedures accurately
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
