Program Manager of Operations
We are seeking a results-driven PMO Manager to oversee project management practices across multiple vehicle programs and cross-functional initiatives within our NA America Quality organization. The PMO Manager will be responsible for standardizing project execution, improving governance, and supporting the quality deliverables that provide a compass to senior leadership within the company including the COO. Some of these projects include, War Room alignment, engineering oversight and coordination. Top impact quality initiatives, including product development, manufacturing, supply quality, aftersales, logistics, and commercial functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Governance & Standards: Develop, implement, and enforce project management standards, tools, and methodologies aligned with automotive industry best practices (e.g., APQP, PPAP, ISO/TS 16949).
- Portfolio Management: Oversee the portfolio of projects and vehicle programs, ensuring strategic alignment, prioritization, and balanced resource allocation.
- Project Oversight: Monitor the health and performance of major programs (vehicle platforms, EV systems, ADAS features, etc.) by tracking milestones, KPIs, budgets, and risks.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, product development, manufacturing, supply chain, and executive leadership to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
- Reporting & Communication: Deliver consistent project dashboards, risk reports, and executive summaries. Facilitate program reviews and steering committee meetings.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in project execution and drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile frameworks where applicable.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor a team of project managers and analysts. Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and delivery excellence.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in project or program management, ideally within an automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier
- Strong knowledge of automotive product development lifecycle (e.g., concept to SOP)
- Proven track record of managing complex cross-functional programs
- Experience with tools such as MS Project, Jira, or other PPM platforms
- PMP, Prince2, or equivalent certification preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree (MBA or Engineering Management)
- Familiarity with EV, ADAS, or autonomous systems development
- Experience with Agile, SAFe, or hybrid delivery models
- Exposure to international programs and multicultural teams
