Job Details Salary: From $100,000 to $150,000 per year Job Type: Full Time Location: Rochester Hills, MI 48307 Position Overview As a Transmission Technician at Fox Chevrolet, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicle transmissions to ensure customer satisfaction. Your work habits and ethics play a crucial role in delivering excellent service, and you will be expected to set personal goals and track your progress with support from the Service Manager. Key Responsibilities Perform maintenance and repair tasks efficiently following dealership and factory standards Disassemble, diagnose, and repair vehicle transmissions accurately Clean and inspect all transmission parts thoroughly Provide labor and time estimates for additional repairs clearly Communicate mechanical diagnoses and repair needs in a simple, understandable way to service advisors and customers Continuously update technical knowledge through formal training sessions Inspect and test new vehicles, recording findings for necessary repairs Working Hours This is a full-time position with standard dealership operating hours. Specific shift details will be provided during the hiring process. Job Requirement: Minimum of 3 years experience as a transmission technician Factory certification preferred Experience with warranty and non-warranty inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs across various vehicle makes and models Proven ability to meet or exceed performance goals Excellent communication skills Professional appearance and strong work ethic Positive attitude with a high level of energy Superior customer service skills Ability to read and understand technical instructions Good judgment and problem-solving skills Valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record
