JOB TITLE:

Education Assistant

JOB PURPOSE:

To assist the UW Art Museum Education team with education and technology related tasks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with education team to develop and implement lessons and assessments for various programs that align with our inquiry model (observe question explore create and reflect).
• Assist with technology and hybrid learning scenarios (may include editing video captions setting up equipment recording).
• Studio maintenance including clean up inventory materials prep.
• Additional tasks and support for museum classes tours and camps will be assigned based on availability need and funding.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education : High school diploma or GED; Art or Education majors preferred. All majors welcome to apply.
Experience : One to two years of teaching experience in an informal setting.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent interpersonal verbal and/or written communication skills.
• Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to lift 30 lbs
