Responsibilities:

• The Clinical Partner will be responsible for completing vitals, drawing labs, and acting as a support for the provider.
• Needles that they use for doing labs will vary as they have a variety of options. ETC: They may use a butterfly needle often or whatever is appropriate. The provider will be there to help, but a lot of times are not specialized in phlebotomy.
• They also have vein binders as needed.
• Sometimes the Clinical Partner will just go out to assist with labs.
• They generally see between 1-10 patients in a day. 90% of the time it is below 10. If they are at a facility (Assisted Living Facilities or Rehab Centers), they may see more patients than if they were on the road and driving far for the day.
• Support Patient Care through Clinical Partnership with Nurse Practitioners, Physicians, and clinical teams
• Prepares patients for examination and treatment
• May at times include preparing patients for minor surgical procedures
• Secures patient consent forms, records patient care documentation accurately and in a timely manner
• Coordinates patient care as directed by physicians, company standards and policies
• Respects patient confidentiality at all times and treats patients with courtesy and respect
• Performs phlebotomy (venipuncture only) duties as directed by clinician
• Labels, stores and properly packages specimens for lab delivery
• Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatment (supply inventory, medical bag and car) (where applicable)
• Attends required meetings and in-services
• Supports mission, vision and core values which include but not limited to delivering compassionate support, attention and assistance to patients, families and members of the team

Schedule:

• M-F 8:15am-5pm
• Tuesdays: Expected 7:45am start time

Skills:

• 3-5 Years of Medical Assistant Experience (If not certified), 1 year of Medical Assistant Experience if Certified.
• Phlebotomy Experience
• Valid CPR Certification
• Valid Drivers License and Clean Driving Record
• Tech Savvy
• Athena experience
• Home healthcare experience

Dress code:

• Scrubs - any solid color
• Shoes - closed toed
