Network Engineering Senior

Akkodis is seeking a Network Engineering Senior for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI (Hybrid). The ideal candidate will be responsible for securing and supporting enterprise network infrastructure by managing AT-TLS policies, certificates, secure file transfers, and high‑availability system reporting and performance monitoring .

Rate Range: $60/hour to $70/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Network Engineering Senior Job Responsibilities include:

• Perform advanced network analysis and troubleshooting on z/OS environments using TCP/IP packet captures, VTAM/SNA traces, and Enterprise Extender diagnostics.

• Manage and secure mainframe network communications by configuring z/OS Policy Agent (PAGENT), AT‑TLS rules, digital certificates, and keyrings.

• Support and administer secure communication and file transfer services including SSH, SSL/TLS, SFTP, FTPS, and Connect:Direct.

• Configure, maintain, and support IBM 3270 emulation platforms (PCOMM, HOD, HACP‑EE) and enterprise printing solutions, ensuring reliable system output.

• Develop automated reporting and performance monitoring solutions using SMF records, REXX/CLIST, Java, and IBM utilities for capacity planning.

• Provide 24x7 operational support, collaborating cross‑functionally to resolve incidents, participate in on‑call rotations, and ensure high system availability.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).

• Minimum 8–10 years of overall IT experience, including 5+ years supporting IBM z/OS Communications Server environments.

• Proven hands-on expertise in SNA/VTAM, APPN/Enterprise Extender, TCP/IP stack configuration, and advanced network troubleshooting on mainframe systems.

• Strong experience with network security and encryption technologies, including z/OS Policy Agent (AT-TLS), digital certificates, keyrings, and secure file transfer protocols.

Pay Details: $60.00 to $70.00 per hour
