Apex Placement & Consulting is partnering with a growing plastics manufacturing company in the Sterling Heights area to add an experienced Maintenance Technician to their team. This is a day shift opportunity supporting plant equipment and operations in a fast-paced production environment.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, working independently, and keeping equipment running efficiently.

What Your Day Will Look Like

As the primary maintenance professional at the facility, you will play a key role in keeping equipment and operations running smoothly.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Performing preventative maintenance on production equipment
• Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Maintaining and repairing plastic injection molding equipment
• Inspecting machinery and diagnosing equipment issues
• Disassembling and repairing equipment or replacing defective parts
• Installing and repairing electrical components and wiring within plant equipment
• Maintaining facility infrastructure and plant systems as needed
• Operating cutting torch or welding equipment when repairs require it
• Documenting maintenance activities and supporting preventative maintenance programs

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is comfortable working independently and solving equipment issues as they arise.

Qualifications include:

• Previous maintenance experience within a plastics or manufacturing environment
• Experience working with injection molding equipment (Van Dorn experience)
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs
• Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance needs
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
