This is first shift position 545am-230pm Monday-Friday, contract to hire. Looking for someone to working in the packaging department of a steel company.

Position does require an onsite interview, and looking to start right away!!

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic mechanical repairs on plant equipment and machinery to ensure minimal downtime.

Assist with the setup, operation, and support of metal slitting machines, including coil loading/unloading and quality checks.

Support packaging operations, including banding, skidding, and preparing finished coils for shipment.

Monitor equipment performance and proactively identify potential mechanical issues or areas for improvement.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with company safety protocols.

Collaborate with operators, supervisors, and other team members to ensure smooth workflow and support cross-functional production needs as required.
