A day in this role
As a Multi‑Spindle Screw Machine Setup & Operations Technician, you’ll arrive for the night shift and take ownership of a cell. You’ll review the blueprint, dial in your Tornos, Acme, or Gridley, confirm tooling, and bring the first piece into spec. Through the night, you’ll keep the line running, measure dimensions with precision instruments, and perform adjustments or repairs to hold tight tolerances. By morning, you’ll hand off a stable, capable process that produced parts exactly to requirement.
What you’ll work on
- Set up and run manual and automated machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair machine tools and related equipment to sustain uptime and quality.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical orders to plan each operation.
- Verify dimensions using precision measuring tools to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Configure and fine‑tune multi‑spindle screw machines (Tornos, Acme, Gridley) for optimal results.
Schedule
- Night shift: Sunday night through Friday morning, roughly 8:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.
- Flexible start time available.
- Approx. 50‑hour work weeks.
