Technical Sales Consultant

The Technical Sales Consultant reports to the Manager of LTS Sales and drives LTS sales by providing in-depth technical expertise on the company's products and services to internal stakeholders and prospective customers. This position delivers sales with thorough technical knowledge and excellent presentation skills, providing accurate quoting and ensuring that customer requirements are fully understood and addressed with tailored solutions.

Duties and responsibilities include maintaining thorough, up-to-date knowledge of TGW's catalog and providing in-depth technical expertise to educate customers on TGW's product and service offerings. The role also involves developing and delivering targeted sales campaigns to meet strategic sales goals, proactively assessing customer processes and engineering operations to identify opportunities for sales and business growth within existing LTS portfolio, maintaining relationships and liaising with customers to understand their specific needs and challenges and partnering with internal sales, realization, and operations teams to develop custom solutions tailored to address such needs, leading costing, quoting, and contract development activities by serving as subject matter expert on technical offerings, developing presentations, conducting demonstrations, and delivering technical support as needed throughout cradle-to-grave sales process, and performing additional duties as required.

Requirements include an associate degree or bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience, prior experience in technical sales roles, selling engineering solutions, services, equipment, or related, and 60% of travel as required. Skills and abilities include a thorough understanding of material handling systems and automation technologies, experience developing and managing relationships with customers, excellent communication skills, strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to remain stationary at a desk for prolonged periods of time, go to site frequently and move safely around industrial and/or warehouse environment, lift and carry supplies up to 25 pounds at a time, operate computers, tablets, phones, and other electronic devices, communicate with others verbally and in writing on a frequent basis, and tolerate exposure to job site temperature fluctuations due to seasonal weather in geographic region.
