The Construction Scheduling Coordinator (CSC) manages and coordinates project resource assignments. The CSC acts as the communication hub between the DSP superintendents and DSP field personnel. Key responsibilities include maintaining short-term scheduling changes, tool tracking, equipment tracking, time sheet review, foreman meeting coordination, badging compliance, daily log compliance, training compliance, equipment inspection compliance, safety compliance, and long-term schedule outlook.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaison and Communications: Serves as primary contact between DSP superintendent and field staff
  • Scheduling Coordination: Communicate scheduled dispatch of crews, vehicles, and equipment to appropriate locations as directed by DSP superintendent or project managers.
  • Policy process monitoring and enforcement Audit and enforce procedures such as daily logs, time keeping, daily huddles, toolbox talks, and equipment inspections.
  • Safety and Compliance: Facilitate field personnel adherence to site badging, security, and training requirements.
  • Documentation: Maintains records of field operations. Including: timekeeping, equipment rentals, tool locating, vehicle driver inspections, project status, compliance documents, and equipment/tool tracking
  • Schedule Management: Reviews and updates project short- and long-term schedules as required to maintain manpower to workload balancing

QUALIFICATIONS (Skills, Knowledge, Experience)

  • 2 4 + years of experience in superintendent role in concrete construction commercial concrete construction industry
  • In-depth knowledge of concrete construction processes, materials, and trade workflows
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite products
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Procore and Microsoft Project
  • Proficiency in using industry timekeeping software
  • Familiar with using short-term scheduling software tools
  • Familiar with using tool/equipment tracking software tools
  • Knowledge of materials, equipment, methods, and the tools involved in concrete construction
  • Possess a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Able to spend large amounts of time outdoors, even in inclement weather
  • Able to handle demands of the job including heavy lifting, stooping, carrying, and bending, occasionally at great heights
  • Possible exposure to hazardous materials and fumes
  • Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs, and movement of the whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials
  • Must have manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, good physical fitness, and sense of balance
  • Able to lift and manipulate objects 55-80 lbs.
  • Able to perform work involving prolonged periods of standing, stooping, reaching, crawling, and climbing
