Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Labor & Delivery team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery nursing. As an RN in Labor & Delivery, you will provide comprehensive, compassionate care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum. This role requires strong clinical skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and baby.

Location: Hospital Setting

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide care to laboring women, including monitoring fetal heart rate and maternal vital signs.

• Assist with labor management, including administering medications, epidurals, and other pain management options.

• Support and guide women through the stages of labor, ensuring comfort and safety.

• Assist with delivery, including both vaginal and cesarean sections.

• Monitor the health of both mother and baby during labor and immediately postpartum.

• Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families throughout the process.

• Document all patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.

• Work collaboratively with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for both mother and baby.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience in a hospital setting.

• Strong knowledge of labor and delivery protocols, fetal monitoring, and pain management techniques.

• Ability to handle high-pressure situations and emergencies in a calm and effective manner.

• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

Shift: Night, Every other weekend required

Type : full-time contract employment 13-14 weeks with possibility to extend.
