 Intermodal Dispatcher 
 Job Summary: 
The Intermodal Dispatcher is responsible for the coordination and day to day dispatching of our independent owner operators, communicating and tracking the movement of a fleet of 50 drivers, as well as monitoring hours of service within DOT regulations. Communication with customers and operational support team.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor truck drivers Hours of Service, ensuring compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations
 - Provide delivery status updates to customers upon request
 - Partner with other dispatcher and operational team members to address all operational issues
 - Strategic thinking to coordinate multiple deliveries to maximize time and location
 - Participate in key decisions pertaining to safe and responsible daily operations, load planning, dispatching and operational execution
 - Data entry- updating system with equipment (container and chassis) adding additional charges to be invoiced
 - Rail billing and communicating with steamship lines and customers
 - Establishing and cultivating business relationships with truck drivers and customers, resolve conflicts, keep driver retention
 
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of Intermodal (ocean import and export) trucking dispatch experience.
 - Knowledge and understanding of where the truck driver goes for specific equipment, and equipment availability status. ie; Daily container and chassis pick up and drop off locations
 - Experience and knowledge with external rail and steamship line websites and ability to trace containers at rail yards and rail bill containers
 - Must be able to work in a faced paced environment
 - Ability to multi task while paying close attention to detail
 - Good time management skills
 - Excellent written and verbal communication skills via phone and email
 - Self-motivated and disciplined
 - Problem resolution and analytical ability
 - Good judgment and decision-making skills
 - Ability to work independently and as a team
 
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
