AUTOMOTIVE MOBILE SERVICE TECHNICIAN

THE POSITION: Performs vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards in a mobile environment.

Education, Skills and Qualifications:
- Devote himself/herself to ensuring satisfaction to customers.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred
- Ford or OEM certifications are a plus, state of Michigan services are a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- At least 1 year of experience as an automotive technician (Ford experience preferred)
- Ability to work independently and manage a mobile schedule
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform light vehicle maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements, inspections, etc.) at off-site locations
- Perform manufacturers safety, emissions, compliance recalls
- Accurately diagnose and repair Ford vehicles using OEM tools and equipment
- Maintain mobile service vehicle inventory and cleanliness
- Communicate clearly with customers about services performed and future recommendations
- Use diagnostic tools and mobile service software to update job status and complete work orders
- Represent the dealership professionally at all times
Physical Requirements:
- The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, and talk or hear.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift weights up to 100 pounds.
