AUTOMOTIVE MOBILE SERVICE TECHNICIAN

THE POSITION: Performs vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards in a mobile environment.

Education, Skills and Qualifications:

• Devote himself/herself to ensuring satisfaction to customers.
• High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred
• Ford or OEM certifications are a plus, state of Michigan services are a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• At least 1 year of experience as an automotive technician (Ford experience preferred)
• Ability to work independently and manage a mobile schedule
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform light vehicle maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements, inspections, etc.) at off-site locations
• Perform manufacturers safety, emissions, compliance recalls
• Accurately diagnose and repair Ford vehicles using OEM tools and equipment
• Maintain mobile service vehicle inventory and cleanliness
• Communicate clearly with customers about services performed and future recommendations
• Use diagnostic tools and mobile service software to update job status and complete work orders
• Represent the dealership professionally at all times

Physical Requirements:

• The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, and talk or hear.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift weights up to 100 pounds.
