Job Overview
The Senior Specialist, Broadband at T-Mobile is instrumental in expanding our customer base by actively engaging with potential customers through individual door-to-door interactions while also supporting the team reporting to the Senior Manager through side-by-side selling and sales skill development with internal and external broadband specialists to drive overall team performance. This role involves presenting T-Mobile's latest offers, answering queries, and facilitating the transition of customers to our services, thereby driving the success of the Direct-to-Consumer sales program. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Direct to Consumer Sales, this position is crucial for achieving sales targets within the Direct-to-Consumer segment. This role embodies the brand's energy and integrity, enhancing customer experiences and contributing to the growth of new markets. Through their efforts, they play a vital role in maintaining T-Mobile's reputation for bold and innovative service delivery.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Engages and achieves sales targets with potential customers through individual door-to-door and other community interactions to present T-Mobile's latest offers and services including post-sales follow-up with customers as needed to support an exceptional customer experience
  • Engages and achieves sales targets through team-focused activities at the discretion of the Direct-to-Consumer Senior Manager including the following: Performing side-by-side selling and coaching with internal and external broadband specialists, holding weekly sales meetings with internal direct sales associates that need development, assisting with administrative sales leadership functions such as KPI reporting, partnering with local leadership from other departments to drive overall market penetration, and performing other sales driving tasks as directed by their manager


Education and Work Experience
:

  • High School Diploma/GED General Education (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree Business or Marketing (Preferred)
  • Engaging with customers in a direct sales or retail environment, particularly in telecommunications or consumer electronics Preferred
  • Presenting and explaining complex product offerings effectively to potential customers Preferred
  • Working in a target-driven sales role, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets Preferred


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
:

  • Sales Proficiency in direct consumer sales, with a focus on door-to-door sales tactics to effectively engage and expand the customer base. (Required)
  • Communication Exceptional verbal and effective written communication skills necessary for articulating T-Mobile's offers clearly and interacting persuasively with potential customers. (Required)
  • Customer Engagement Strong ability to connect with customers, address their inquiries, and facilitate a seamless integration into T-Mobile services, enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty. (Required)
  • Peer Coaching A highly skilled sales professional with a proven ability to coach and mentor peers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. Demonstrates deep expertise in sales strategies, customer engagement, and performance optimization. Known for delivering actionable feedback, facilitating skill-building sessions, and empowering team members to exceed targets through personalized guidance and support. (Preferred)
  • Strong Industry Knowledge Market Insight: In-depth understanding of the telecommunications market dynamics and sales strategies to effectively position T-Mobile in competitive environments. (Preferred)
  • Negotiation Advanced negotiation capabilities to secure sales agreements and achieve or exceed set sales targets. (Required)
  • Problem Solving Competence in identifying and resolving issues during the sales process, ensuring a smooth customer experience. (Required)
  • Adaptability Flexibility to modify sales approaches based on varying customer needs and evolving market conditions, maintaining effectiveness across scenarios. (Required)
  • Product Presentation: Skill in delivering engaging and informative presentations about T-Mobile's products and services to potential customers. (Required)


Licenses and Certifications
:

  • Certified Sales Professional (CSP): Certification that demonstrates knowledge and skills in sales strategies, customer interaction, and closing techniques. (Preferred)
  • Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP): Certification that enhances skills in delivering effective training and performance improvement interventions, useful for educating customers and teams about products. (Preferred)

Base Pay: $50,000.00

Annualized Incentive Target: $38,600

Successful candidate’s actual incentive earnings vary based on performance and full-time status. All employees at T-Mobile, are guaranteed to earn $20/hour inclusive of base pay and incentives. And since we are ALL owners, EVERY employee at T-Mobile is eligible for an Annual Stock Grant.
