About the Role:

As a Medical Receptionist, you are much more than the person who checks patients in. You are the first impression of our practice and play a critical role in creating a calm, welcoming, and efficient experience for every patient. We're looking for someone who combines outstanding customer service with excellent organizational skills and a strong understanding of medical insurance.

What You'll Do:

• Welcome every patient with warmth, professionalism, and genuine enthusiasm.
• Create an exceptional check-in and checkout experience that makes patients feel valued.
• Schedule appointments while optimizing provider schedules and patient convenience.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits with a high degree of accuracy.
• Assist patients in understanding insurance requirements, financial responsibilities, and next steps.
• Answer incoming calls with confidence, empathy, and professionalism.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Partner closely with providers, medical assistants, and billing staff to ensure seamless patient care.
• Continuously look for ways to improve the patient experience and office efficiency.

Qualifications:

Preferred:

• Experience working in a medical office.
• Experience verifying medical insurance benefits and eligibility.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Experience using electronic medical records (EZ Derm preferred).
• Excellent computer skills including Google Workspace.

Bonus Points:

• Dermatology experience.
• Experience improving office workflows or patient satisfaction.
