Job Overview

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for patients across the lifespan, including children, adults, and seniors.
• Conduct medication reviews as medically necessary.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications while monitoring for efficacy and side effects, utilizing knowledge of psychopharmacology.
• Collaborate with primary care providers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to document assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately.
• Engage in quality improvement projects to enhance mental health services.
• Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to mental health resources and support remote patient management.

Skills

• Proven experience working with diverse populations including children, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those in assisted living home settings.
• Strong knowledge of behavioral health assessment techniques, trauma-informed care, and acute pain management strategies.
• Familiarity with medical office procedures, medical documentation standards, CPT coding, ICD-10 coding systems, and HIPAA compliance.
• Skilled in medication administration.
• Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems.
• Ability to perform patient assessments including vital signs, physiology knowledge, etc.
• Knowledge of infection control protocols and infection prevention measures within clinical environments.
