Shop and Delivery Assistant

Kings Equipment is looking for a reliable, safety-minded Shop Assistant / Delivery Driver to join our Pontiac Kubota dealership. This position is needed Monday thru Friday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Position Overview

This role supports both our sales and service departments by safely delivering and picking up tractors, implements, and lawn & garden equipment. When not on deliveries, the position assists with general shop and dealership support tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up tractors, implements, and lawn equipment for sales and service customers

• Operate ¾-ton and larger pickup trucks with 22’ trailers

• Properly load, strap, secure, and transport equipment safely

• Provide basic customer walk-throughs at delivery, including proper use and safety of equipment

• Maintain professionalism and strong customer service during deliveries

• Assist with shop organization, cleanup, and yard organization

• Perform odd jobs around the dealership as needed

• Help with light mechanical or support work in the shop (training provided as needed)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Michigan Driver’s License with Chauffeur’s Endorsement

• Proven experience driving a ¾-ton or larger truck with a trailer

• Experience loading and strapping equipment properly

• Strong attention to safety and detail

• Good communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work independently and follow instructions

• Reliable, punctual, and professional

Preferred Skills

• Experience with tractors, mowers, or construction equipment

• Basic mechanical knowledge

• Previous dealership, farm, or equipment experience

Schedule & Compensation

• Monday thru Friday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. (May require earlier report time or later clock out time depending on business demands).

• Hourly pay negotiated based on relevant experience with Health, Vision and Dental coverage for employee after 90 day probationary period.
