Administrative Specialist
Work Location: This is a hybrid position which requires some office work be performed from our warehouse office located in Peculiar, MO.Job Title: Administrative Specialist

Date: January 2026Work Schedule: The typical work week is twenty (20) hours. During periods of high activity (i.e., during OBR deployments and events), the position may require working during evenings and weekends.Position Summary: The Administrative Specialist handles various administrative tasks, providing support to all personnel, including management, employees and volunteers; assists in daily office needs and managing general administrative activities. This position requires attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to manage time and stay organized, all in a hybrid setting.
Essential Administrative Functions:
- Exhibit polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail, providing general information by answering questions and requests.
- Manage and direct phone calls, voicemails and emails to the appropriate personnel.
- Manage and distribute company mail to the appropriate personnel.
- Handle travel arrangements for staff as needed.
- Enter and maintain data entry into multiple company software programs.
- Draft letters and documents as assigned.
- Handle word processing and transcribing documents and revisions as assigned.
- Maintain an up-to-date internal company contact list.
- Assist with managing insurance policies management and filing accordingly.
- Assist departments with OBR Intranet management and updates.
- Order business cards as needed.
- Assist with printing and mailing needs of personnel and departments.
- Assist OBR personnel with administrative duties, as assigned.
- Work with supervisor to complete employee evaluations as assigned.
- Complete administrative tasks including, but not limited to, expense submissions, paperwork, forms, company-assigned trainings, and document reviews.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, internet browsers, web-based programs, and email.Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Math Ability:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.Physical Demands:
