Responsibilities
- Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement a plan of care aimed at returning patients to optimal health; provide bedside nursing care and execute medical orders.
- Delegate and supervise nursing support staff (Nurse Assistant, Patient Care Associate, OB Care Associate, Surgical Service Assistant, Nursing Clerk, Psychiatric Tech) to ensure safe and efficient care.
- Assume a leadership role in coordinating care: participate in patient conferences, discharge/transfer planning, and teaching to meet ongoing education needs.
- Mentor and precept new employees and students; serve as a team leader to ensure proper patient placement and assignment delegation.
- Communicate relevant information clearly to the care team; maintain organizational efficiency through effective planning.
- Maintain ICU competency while being comfortable with occasional floating to ED and Step-down units as needed.

Requirements
- Active Michigan RN license
- Minimum 2 years ICU nursing experience (required)
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS (required)
- Ability to work in an ICU environment and to float to ED/Step-down units as needed (required)
- Nice-to-have: TCAR, TNCC, CCRN, SCRN
- Travel assignment experience preferred

Education
- Nursing degree and licensure to practice as an RN in the state of Michigan (education specifics not provided)
