Custom Stainless TIG Fabrication Specialist
A day in the shop — Clinton Township
You clock in at 6:00am and review the morning’s build list: custom stainless assemblies that move from raw stock to finished, welded components by day’s end. You study the print, plan the sequence, lay out parts, and handle your own fit-up. The torch lights, welds run clean, joints get inspected, and by late afternoon you’re signing off on work you’re proud to ship. It’s hands-on, start-to-finish craftsmanship in a stable, well-established fabrication shop.
What you’ll take ownership of
- TIG welding stainless and other custom-fabricated parts from initial layout through final pass
- Fitting and assembling components to specification before welding
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and part drawings to plan the build
- Inspecting welds for penetration, consistency, and overall quality
What you bring
- Proven TIG welding experience in a fabrication setting
- Hands-on, true fitting experience (required)
- Stainless steel TIG experience (preferred)
- Ability to read prints and fabricate accurately to tolerance
Compensation & schedule
- $22–$28 per hour, based on experience
- Monday–Friday, 6:00am–4:30pm; Saturdays as needed (approximately 50–55 hours/week)
- Overtime available
- Direct hire, full-time employment in Clinton Township
