The Account Coordinator is an extension of the account team and interacts with all account members. The focus of the role is to manage the routing process and ensure projects stay on schedule and obtain the necessary approvals. This role supports account team members in the management and coordination of agency resources to ensure day-to-day client/project needs are met. The Account Coordinator role is an entry level position and non-exempt; client contact is minimal.
Responsibilities:
Manage the internal routing process (job bags, Proof HQ) and track progress between account, creative, legal, production, product information, copy edit and other departments as needed.
Distribute weekly project status reports both internally and externally.
Open job numbers and develop production estimates within project budget.
Assist project lead to complete all necessary steps in the work flow process; creative reviews, budget needs, etc.
Coordinate creative kick-off and turnover meetings.
Assist internal team to develop and manage project timelines.
Review creative brief to develop an understanding of the deliverables; share observations with team members and account leads.
Assist in the preparation of materials for client meetings and reviews.
Qualifications:
Developing ability to multi-task, prioritize multiple demands and details, while delivering high-quality work within a fast paced, agency environment.
Be a self-starter who will take initiative and look for ways to improve any and all aspects of the position and our approach to our Client's business.
Build and nurture relationships with internal team members.
Possess solid oral and written communication skills.
Be curious about our industry, client business and agency
Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience in a related field (ideally in marketing, advertising/communications or business studies).
1 year of relevant work experience desired (internships, job shadow, etc.).Beginner to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office including: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
