Position Title: Senior Commercial Loan OfficerGeneral Purpose:
Responsible for the development and management of a commercial loan portfolio. Actively solicits new business, prepares credit presentations for approvals and effectively manages customer relationships.
Responsibilities:- Calling on prospective customers to secure new relationships for the bank. The goal would be to add new customers across all lines of business.
- Develop procedures and methods to assist others in the development of business. The goal is to mentor and teach others how to help increase our market share.
- Maintain existing commercial portfolio by providing solutions to meet business needs.
- Manages larger, more complex loan relationships.
- May supervise other personnel assigned to the region.
- Provide leadership and direction that will drive an accountable, high performing, sales culture.
- Leverage knowledge of existing customer base to maximize opportunities to cross-sell bank services.
- Obtains all necessary financial data to make decisions on loans.
- Makes plant or company visits as necessary.
- Be involved in community functions and civic organizations. The goal is to be a good ambassador for the bank and be active in the communities we serve.
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 7-10 years of Commercial lending experience required
- Bank elected officer
- Prior banking/financial services experience required
- Strong community involvement and/or resident of market served preferred
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Motivated and self-starter
- Ability to work independently
- Team oriented
- Innovative and creative
- Computer skills
