We're looking for a hands-on leader with strong management experience to help us build new features and grow our team. The role will be leading a team of network development engineers in a fast-paced environment that requires agility and the drive to deliver. The team will be responsible for provisioning, securing, scaling & operating the network stack required to run distributed AI workloads across a cluster spanning thousands of GPUs. The candidate should be comfortable with building complex distributed systems involving the management and control of hundreds of thousands of network devices.
Qualifications:

BS or MS in Computer Science, Network/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Minimum 7+ years of experience in large-scale physical network support with 2-4 years of people management experience.

Minimum 2+ years of experience in in Network Development/Deployment at scale.

Experience building scalable, cloud-native distributed systems.

Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.

Solid understanding of key networking technologies needed for the cloud including: network design and fabrics, networking protocols, network automation, network telemetry and common hardware platforms

Ability to effectively communicate technical ideas verbally and in writing.

Understand the end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and overall behavioral characteristics of production services.

Experience with production operations and best practices for deploying code in production and troubleshooting issues when they arise.

Attract, develop & manage a team of highly skilled engineers.

Define and develop roadmaps to deliver network deployment efficiencies.

Develop, grow, and maintain data-driven metric programs that speak to both the operational and business status of the physical networking domain.

Solve difficult problems in distributed systems, infrastructure, and highly available services.

Collaborate with Network Engineering, Network Automation, Network Monitoring, and DCO/GNOC operations.

Engineering organizations to deliver a highly available service to our customers.

Participate in on-call rotation for managers.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $115,600 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
