Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing and processing the company’s financial transactions, ensuring timely payments to vendors, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional support to both internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Invoice Processing: Receive, verify, and enter vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy, approvals, and proper matching to purchase orders.
- Credit Card & Expense Reimbursements: Collect receipts, reconcile transactions, and process payments for company credit cards and reimbursements.
- Vendor Management: Communicate with vendors to confirm payment status, resolve discrepancies, and maintain vendor files.
- Payment Management: Schedule and process payments (checks, ACH, and wire transfers) while ensuring adherence to terms and avoiding late fees.
- Record Keeping: Maintain organized and accurate documentation for all accounts payable activities.
- Financial Reporting: Support monthly reporting and provide insights into cash flow and expense trends.
- Process Improvement: Identify and recommend efficiency improvements within AP workflows.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, tax requirements, and audit standards.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in accounts payable or similar finance role.
- Familiarity with Sage Intacct or similar accounting systems preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organization abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
