Multi‑Axis CNC Programming Specialist (Mastercam/Hypermill)

We’re looking for a hands-on programming specialist who can turn complex drawings into efficient, repeatable CNC processes—and then lead execution on the floor.

Role Highlights

• Program CNC lathes and mills directly from customer specifications and CAD models.
• Generate 3D models/2D drawings as needed to support programming and manufacturing.
• Create setup sheets; select cutters and define tool offsets; optimize cycle time, quality, and cost.
• Direct setup for mills and lathes; supervise one operator and manage up to three machines in a dedicated cell.
• Diagnose and resolve programming and process issues quickly.
• Submit purchasing requisitions for tooling and BOM items.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and other teams to solve manufacturability challenges.
• Champion safety, on-time delivery, and QMS-driven continuous improvement.

What You Bring

• HS diploma/GED required; Associate’s/technical credential a plus.
• 1+ year CNC programming experience; 4+ years machining experience (manager waiver possible).
• Mastercam or Hypermill proficiency; strong general computer literacy.
• Excellent blueprint interpretation; solid GD&T (advanced preferred); AS9100 awareness.
• Confident with machinist gauges: micrometers, calipers, etc.
• Material versatility: steel, aluminum, stainless, plastics, titanium, copper, ceramics.
• Prior CNC machining/setup experience preferred; 3‑axis mill setup/operation required; 4‑/5‑axis exposure preferred.
• Leadership capability, reliability, and drive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Physical and schedule readiness: lift 50–75 lbs, sit/stand for long periods, work overtime as needed with flexibility.

Environment & Equipment

• Vertical machining centers: 3–4 axis (Haas) and 5+ axis
• Turning centers: 2–4 axis (Haas) and 5+ axis (Mazak)
• CAM: Mastercam and Hypermill
