Position Description: The Domestic Operations Exercise Coordinator provides Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to support the Michigan Army National Guard (MING) and associated military and government personnel in planning, scenario and inject development, event coordination, synchronization, and execution of a live and virtual exercise designed to prepare for annual domestic operations exercises. Support includes planning, execution, and assessment of exercises, venues, relationships, and events. Events include meetings, use and management of systems and processes, and scheduled rehearsals. The SME identifies, coordinates, and sustains resources, training venues, and equipment for the successful facilitation and execution of events.

Suitable candidates must capable of:

• Developing and maintaining relationships with local emergency managers and authorities for ground situational training exercise engagement
• Contributing to the development of a Master Scenario Events List (MSEL) for multi-organization engagement (e.g., local emergency managers, authorities, National Guard, etc.)
• Consolidating and combining training objectives designed and developed for mutually beneficial assessment (e.g., local emergency managers, authorities, National Guard, etc.)
• Designing and developing props and role players to create a unique perspective on a standardized military experience.

Location: This positions will combine remote and onsite work as well as frequent travel to training locations within the state of Michigan. At a minimum of once a week, in-person performance and reporting shall be at office space located in Lansing, Michigan, or as directed or otherwise approved by MING. At a minimum of once a week the contractor shall participate in a teleconference with the MING Domestic Operation Exercise Planner and MING Director of Domestic Operations.

Start Date: On or about 01AUG25; one-year base contract with option to extend an additional four years

Requirements:

• Former service in the U.S. military as a senior NCO or field grade officer
• Possess an active Secret security clearance or be capable of attaining one
• A minimum of five years' experience planning and executing military training exercises
• A minimum of five years' experience working within, alongside, or supporting Domestic Preparedness operations, including Civil Support Teams, CERFPs, HRFs, the CRE, or state or federal homeland response agencies
