- Evaluate and treat patients presenting with acute and chronic medical conditions in an outpatient primary care or urgent care setting
- Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations and develop evidence-based treatment plans
- Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic studies including laboratory tests, imaging, and EKGs
- Prescribe medications and therapies within the scope of your license and applicable protocols
- Perform clinical procedures as needed (e.g., wound care, injections, minor procedures)
- Provide patient education on diagnoses, medications, follow-up care, and preventive health
- Document all patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
- Collaborate with advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and clinical support team to ensure quality patient care
- Coordinate referrals and follow-up as clinically appropriate
- Adhere to all KARE CENTER policies, clinical protocols, and regulatory compliance standards
- MD or DO with an active, unrestricted Michigan medical license (or eligible to obtain one)
- Current resident or fellow in an ACGME-accredited program with valid moonlighting privileges from their training program strongly encouraged to apply
- Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or a related specialty preferred
- Current DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain)
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Experience with or willingness to learn Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- Strong clinical judgment, professional communication, and team-oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently and manage a busy patient panel with confidence
- Flexible scheduling day, evening, and weekend shifts available to accommodate residency or fellowship schedules
- Per-diem, part-time, and ongoing shift arrangements available
